Feedback on proposed new primary school at Bertha Park

Overview

Perth and Kinross Council is preparing a planning application for a new primary school at Bertha Park, Perth.

The proposed development comprises a new primary school and nursery together with outdoor learning areas, playgrounds, grass sports pitches, a multi-use games area (MUGA), car parking, landscaping and associated infrastructure.

The new school will serve the growing Bertha Park community and forms part of the wider Bertha Park masterplan, where land has been identified for education provision.

Before submitting the planning application, Perth and Kinross Council is undertaking statutory pre-application consultation to provide local residents, parents, community organisations and other interested parties with an opportunity to view the proposals and provide feedback.

Comments received during the consultation will be reviewed by the project team and will help inform the final planning application.

The proposed primary school site is located immediately west of Bertha Park High School, off Adamson Avenue, Perth.

Public Consultation Events

Two public drop-in events will be held at Bertha Park High School.

Event 1
Monday 14 September 2026
4.00pm – 7.00pm

Event 2
Monday 5 October 2026
4.00pm – 7.00pm

The events are informal drop-in sessions where you can view the emerging proposals, speak to members of the project team and ask questions.

Representatives from Perth and Kinross Council, the design team and specialist consultants will be available throughout both events.

We would welcome your views on the proposals.

This consultation is being undertaken before the planning application is submitted. Comments received during this stage will be reviewed by the project team and, where appropriate, used to inform the final proposals before the planning application is finalised.

Please note that comments submitted through this consultation are not formal representations to Perth and Kinross Council as Planning Authority. Once the planning application has been submitted, there will be a further opportunity to view the application and submit formal comments through the Council's planning process.

All comments received before the closing date will be carefully considered as the proposals are developed.
