Workforce Survey - Violence against Women and Girls

Overview

The Perth and Kinross Violence Against Women Partnership is undertaking this consultation to better understand how local systems and services respond to women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse and wider forms of violence against women and girls (VAWG) in Perth and Kinross.

The consultation focuses on staff perspectives about the impact of services and systems, including how well services work together, how effective current approaches are, and where improvements could be made.

This consultation is intended for staff working in services that are available to Perth and Kinross residents, particularly those whose roles involve supporting women, children and families. Responses should be based on your professional experience, knowledge and observations of how services and systems function within your area of work.

A separate consultation is available for residents in the Perth and Kinross area who wishes to share their views and experiences from a personal perspective.

Violence against women and girls includes many forms of abuse and harm. This can include domestic abuse, rape or sexual assault, childhood sexual abuse, stalking or harassment, emotional abuse, commercial sexual exploitation, and harmful practices such as female genital mutilation (FGM), forced marriage, and ‘honour’-based abuse. These issues can affect people of any gender, but women and girls are disproportionately impacted because of gender inequality. We also recognise that men and boys can be affected directly or indirectly.

Participation in this consultation is anonymous and is not intended to collect personal information. We ask that you do not include details in open-text responses that could identify you or anyone else. Any personal information that is provided will be processed in accordance with data protection legislation and will be deleted six months after the consultation closse.

Why your views matter

The purpose of this consultation is to gather workforce views on how services, who support women and children, operate in practice and to identify opportunities to strengthen local responses.

By hearing directly from staff working within these services, Perth and Kinross Violence Against Women Partnership aims to build a clearer picture of what is working well, where challenges exist, and how services and partnership arrangements can be improved to better meet the needs of women and girls affected by violence.
