Free Period Products in Perth and Kinross 2024/25

Overview

Free Period Products have been available in Perth and Kinross since 2018. This consulation calls for views on the current provision across the region and any improvements we can make to enhance the scheme, particularly in the areas of education and awareness. 

Why your views matter

As part of the Period Products (Free Provision) (Scotland) Act 2021, from mid-August 2022, we are legally required to: 

• make products reasonably easy to obtain in both communities and school settings 

• respect the dignity of those obtaining the products 

• offer a reasonable choice of different types of period products 

We are required to outline how we will meet the above points in a Statement of Intent. Your views will inform what we still need to do to meet these points, and improve the scheme going forward.
