Overview
The aim of the consultation is to provide an opportunity to comment on the proposal to grant a lease to Blairgowrie and Rattray Community Football Club (BRCFC) for 25 years at Davie Park.
The consultation will include opportunities for the communities of Blairgowrie, Rattray and the surrounding area to contribute their views via email or by post.
The consultation will run for 8 weeks from 18 June to 16 August 2021.
Following this consultation, feedback once collated will be considered in the preparation of the report to the Blairgowrie Common Good Committee regarding the leasing of land at Davie Park, Rattray (Blairgowrie) to enable the Development of a 3G Pitch with Community Facilities.
Why your views matter
It is proposed that Perth & Kinross Council grant a full repairing and insuring lease of an area of ground at Davie Park, Rattray, comprising approximately 15,896m2 for a period of 25 years to Blairgowrie and Rattray Community Football Club (BRCFC) to facilitate a project to:
Phase 1: install a full size 100 x 60 metres 3G floodlit pitch together with alterations to the main stand; and
Phase 2: Construct a new build sports and community facility on the same site comprising modern changing rooms, a viewing gallery, catering facilities, social and office space for hire. These facilities will serve the wider area of East Perthshire.
BRCFC will be responsible for the future maintenance of the leased area.
A planning application (21/00840/FLL) has been submitted and full details can be viewed online at our Planning Portal.
The ground proposed to be leased has Common Good status and the Council is consulting as part of the requirement in the Community Empowerment (Scotland) Act 2015 to capture the opinions of the community in the decision-making process.
