We asked

Following an onsite consultation in autumn 2021 at Victory Park in Bridge of Earn, we produced a concept masterplan for the site including the play facilities.  We then ran a further consultation from June to July 2022 asking for your views on the design.

We received 60 responses through the consultation hub with a small number of others providing feedback through other means.

The responses were very largely positive with a number ideas for us to consider as we continue to develop the project further in discussion with the Victory Park Development Group and Bridge of Earn AFC.

Concerns raised include flooding and drainage which have been in our thoughts throughout.  Respondents also had concerns about the management of long grass areas, and about litter and dog fouling.

Perth and Kinross Council are delighted to have appointed T & N Gilmartin for the play area improvements at Victory Park, Bridge of Earn. The project includes a cableway, inclusive roundabout, multi-play unit, see-saw, springer, and an inclusive basket swing. Works are due to start on site week commencing the 22nd July.

PKC have been working in partnership with the community and the Victory Park Development Group to development the plans and raise funds for the project . The Victory Park Development Group have managed to raise over £80,000.00 through fundraising and applying for external funding grants. The efforts of the group have meant that the project is able to include additional equipment, including a cableway which was the number one requested item during the consultation process. A big well done the Victory Park Development Group for all their efforts.

Out with the upcoming play improvement works, Perth and Kinross Council have also been working to improve the park by:

- Planting pollinator friendly bulbs and 43 native trees funded through PKC’s Climate Change Budget.
- Access improvements to the site car park.

Thank you to everyone who responded to the recent consultation about the proposed park improvements at Victory Park. We received 60 responses through the consultation hub with a small number of others providing feedback through other means.

Many respondents asked to be kept informed on progress on this project. Once plans are finalised and we have a start date for works on site we will get in touch with those people once again.

Here are the results of the short survey.
