Perth and Kinross Council Employers Survey: Housing for Workers
Overview
Perth and Kinross Council are beginning our latest Housing Need & Demand Assessment to understand the requirement for homes of all tenures for the next 20 years. We will assess demand for homes locally (within Housing Market areas) as well as the wider Perth and Kinross area as a whole.
This research will inform, not just the Housing Need and Demand Assessment, but also the next Local Development Plan and Local Housing Strategy (2028-2035). These two strategies will direct housing development and affordable housing funding across different areas of Perth and Kinross for the following 5-10 years. The data will also help to quantify demand for specific affordable housing projects such Community Led housing, particularly in rural areas.
Why your views matter
Perth and Kinross Council are asking employers of all sizes to share their experiences - particularly whether housing shortages or housing affordability issues are affecting their ability to recruit or keep staff.
This survey is part of our wider Housing Need and Demand Assessment to understand the number and types of homes needed across Perth and Kinross over the next 20 years.
The findings will guide future housing plans, including the Local Development Plan and the Local Housing Strategy for 2028 to 2035 and will influence where housing is built and how affordable housing investment is allocated.
The survey is anonymous and takes 5 to 10 minutes. Thank you for taking the time to participate.
