Housing Services - How do you want us to spend your rent money?

Overview

It's very important that tenants have a strong voice in deciding what their rent money is spent on.

We recently asked Perth & Kinross Council tenants what your main priority areas were when it comes to investing in your Housing Services. The 'Your Rent, Your Say, Your Priorities' survey was completed by 849 tenants in April and May 2019, giving us an indication of your main priority areas for spending for 2019/20:

• Providing a high quality repairs service
• Keeping my home well maintained and warm
• Improving the services we provide to older tenants
• Increasing the number of Council homes for rent 
• More investment in my home, such as kitchens, etc.
• Improving the maintenance of my neighbourhood
• More building maintenance (such as gutter cleaning/close painting)
• New ways to support tenants to sustain their tenancies
• Improving the services we provide to younger tenants

Why your views matter

We now want to ask you some follow-up questions to see what kind of services you would like us to focus on delivering under these main priority areas. 

The information we gather about what services you would like to see will help us to put together proposals for rent levels for 2019/20.

These proposed rent level options will be discussed at the Autumn Tenant Conference on October 3rd 2019 at the Salutation Hotel, Perth (11:00am - 1.30pm), before being voted on by tenants.
