Review of Scheme of Establishment of Community Councils
Overview
The Scheme of Establishment sets out the rules and guidance for the establishment and running of community councils in Perth and Kinross. We are undertaking a periodic review of the Scheme to ensure it is fit for purpose in 2024. This consultation is open to anyone with an interest.
Why your views matter
The Council is required to undertake periodic reviews of the Scheme, with the last review of the Scheme in 2018. Part of the agreed Scheme in 2018 included an agreement for a further review in 2023.
This consultation provides community councils, members of the public and Perth & Kinross Council Elected Members their opportunity to comment on the proposed revised Scheme.
The Community Council Team welcome suggestions and feedback on the draft Scheme. Once approved by Perth & Kinross Council this will have effect until 2028. We welcome responses from community councils, members of the public and Perth & Kinross Council Elected Members on the Draft Scheme.
