Draft Statement of Principles for Gambling 2025-2028
Overview
Consultation is taking place on local guidelines for gambling applications and activities.
The Gambling Act 2005 requires Perth and Kinross Licensing Board to prepare a Statement of Principles for Gambling that it proposes to apply, which needs to be reviewed every three years. This year the Statement needs to be reviewed, so we are consulting on the Draft (see below), If you require a copy of the draft in an alternative format please contact us).
There are no significant changes in this draft when compared to the current Statement of Gambling Principles.
The content of the Statement of Principles is largely dictated by the legal framework, and therefore there is limited scope for the Licensing Board to deviate from this. However, the Board still needs to consult with the Gambling Commission, Police Scotland, representatives for businesses and the wider general public to gather views on a revised draft Statement.
Responses to this consultation will be considered by The Licensing Board.
