Perth & Kinross Council’s Public Space CCTV has been in operation for around 20 years and is monitored by Police Scotland. The Council's CCTV system currently consists of 35 cameras, mainly located within Perth City Centre area with two cameras in North Muirton and one at each of the Park and Rides at Broxden and Scone. The purpose of the system is to: -

  • support community and public safety;
  • deter anti-social behaviour;
  • deter and/or prevent crime;
  • support the investigation, detection and evidence gathering of crimes;
  • contribute to traffic management.

We did

We have installed an initial camera at the Aytoun Hall which will be extended once the network has been upgraded. The police are able to review the footage as part of crime investigations.
