Tayplan - Housing Need & Demand Assessment Household Survey

Closed 1 May 2021

Opened 16 Mar 2021

Overview

On behalf of a partnership between four local authorities known as Tayplan - Dundee, Angus, Perth & Kinross and Fife - a survey is being undertaken to find out about housing needs needs now and in the future.

The Tayside Housing market partnership covers the City-regions of Dundee and Perth and is a partnership of Dundee City, Angus, Perth & Kinross and Fife Councils. The Tayside boundary covers all of Dundee City, the North Part of Fife and the majority of Angus and Perth & Kinross but excludes those part covered by the Cairngorms and the Local Lomond and Trossachs National Park Authorities.

The survey supports the preparation of a Housing Need and Demand Assessment (HNDA) which is being undertaken on behalf of the partnership.

The HNDA covers a 20-year period from 2020 to 2040, and the purpose of the study is to help the council to make decisions about future housing investment and plan for enough housing land in the right places to meet local housing needs.

Why your views matter

We want to know your views about housing needs in Perth and Kinross. We want to hear from local residents about your home, how you feel about where you live, your current household arrangements, your housing needs and any plans you may have for the future.

Your views are vital because the more we find out about your current and future housing needs, the more evidence we can gather which will inform how the Council can help create places that people are proud to call home.

This survey will help Perth & Kinross Council in the Tayside area plan for the future of housing in the area, making sure it meets the needs of residents.

What happens next

The survey responses will help the council to make decisions about future housing investment and plan for enough housing land in the right places to meet local housing needs. A summary of this will be shared in due course via the Consultation hub following extensive consultation and analysis of responses and data.
