Overview

The Draft Renewables & Low Carbon Energy Guidance has been written to ensure planning applications address the planning policies of both National Planning Framework 4 (NPF4) and Local Development Plan 2. The guidance highlights the most relevant policies and associated information that need to be addressed in planning submissions. Consultation will shape the final version of the adopted guidance.

Why your views matter

Following the adoption of NPF4 the previously consulted draft guidance required to be updated. This is technical guidance setting out the information expected from developers to demonstrate compliance with planning policy. It also contains clarification of policies and how they will be applied in practice. Comments and suggestions are invited on any aspect and content of the guidance.

It should be noted that the guidance cannot introduce new policy and that there will be a separate opportunity through the preparation of Local Development Plan 3 to influence new policy. Please cite the relevant paragraph number in your response.

A copy of the consultation for postal responses can be obtained by emailing developmentplan@pkc.gov.uk.
