Creating playful experiences and opportunities to ensure children play on a daily basis is very important and has immense benefits for children and young people.  Our Play Framework follows the themes in the national strategy which can only be achieved by working in partnership with families and communities.

Find out what makes up a 'Neighbourhood' play area...

We work to a ‘play strategy’ that determines the funds available to refurbish play areas and also the number of pieces of equipment required to service the size for the area. The location also determines the likely material the equipment will be manufactured from, ie timber or metal. Surfacing selection is also based on likely maintenance required.
