Perth & Kinross Council Equality Outcomes

Overview

We are required to review our existing Statutory Equality Outcomes by April 2021.

We believe that ‘Equality is at the Heart of What We Do’ and our Equality Outcomes should demonstrate that:

• Perth and Kinross is a safe, welcoming and accessible area.
• Perth and Kinross visibly celebrates equality and diversity.
• Perth & Kinross Council will keep our community informed and engage with them about our services, opportunities and. support available to them.
• Perth & Kinross Council will increase people’s awareness of equality and diversity.

Why your views matter

We want to get a cross-section of views on our draft Equality Outcomes before they are finalised.  This consultation will be shared specifically with groups who work directly with those from equality protected groups; partner organisations; staff within our own workforce and the wider community.

We would expect that this short survey will take no more than 20 minutes to complete and you can choose to only respond on the equality aims of relevance to you. You can save your response and return to complete at any time. 

What happens next

We will publish the final version of the Equality Outcomes after consultation and they must be submitted for full Council approval before final publication.
