Feedback updated 20 Feb 2024
We asked
We asked the Craigie Burn catchment community about:
- the flood risk from the Craigie Burn (and other tributaries/sources)
- the findings of the Craigie Burn flood study
- other actions to raise awareness and improve community flood resilience

A significant volume of feedback was received and has been captured in a public consultation report. This sets out the feedback received, and the Council's answers to the questions posed.
We did
The recommended option has been submitted to SEPA for prioritisation and will hopefully be included within the national priority list of flood schemes. The scheme has been put forward for inclusion within the next Tay Flood Risk Management Strategy and Local Flood Risk Management Plan (covering the period from 2028 to 2034), subject to suitable funding being in place. The feedback received will be considered further during future work on the study recommendations.

The Council would like to thank those that took the time to provide their comments on this project.
A Q&A report is available to view on this page which collates the comments received and provides the Council’s response to those questions. These will feed into future work on the recommendations from the study.
The study findings were reported to the Climate Change & Sustainability Committee on 27 November 2023 and approved.

Perth & Kinross Council has been carrying out a flood study on the Craigie Burn, Perth and is seeking the views of the community on the draft outputs.
Community drop-in sessions are being held on 20 and 28 June 2023 at the Dewars Centre (Hay Room, 2-8pm). These event will allow the community to view and comment on the extensive work carried out as part of the Craigie Burn Flood Study, including:

· Information on existing actions, and measures already in place.
The display boards are available to view below.
These are A1 size boards that will be on display at the two drop-in events. The viewer below can be zoomed in, or alternatively you can download these to view them in a full page pdf viewer. This can be done by opening the drop-down menu at the top right of the viewer (the '>>' button). (The boards are split over two viewers, so both will need downloaded seperately).
