Draft British Sign Language (BSL) Local Plan 2024-29
Overview
The British Sign Language (BSL) Scotland Act 2015 states that each local authority must have a local BSL Plan. These local plans ensure that all Council services are inclusive and accessible for BSL users.
We are in the process of updating our local BSL Plan and have developed a draft plan for 2024-29. Officers from different Council services have worked closely with BSL users and the people who support them to ensure the draft plan is designed with their needs in mind.
To help guide our decisions on the final local BSL Plan 2024-29 we are looking for some feedback on the work we have done so far.
Your feedback will help us finalise the local BSL Plan which will then be reported to the See Hear Steering Group as part of the wider Sensory Impairment Strategy of Perth and Kinross.
The local BSL Plan has the same long term aims as the recently published BSL Plan for Scotland.
