Nominate a Community Champion!

Overview

The Council's Housing Service want to hear about great Council housing tenants - either individuals or groups -  who go above and beyond in order to improve their local community or the lives of neighbours.

We want to highlight and celebrate their works.

You can use this form to nominate a Community Champion who goes above and beyond to make life better in your neighbourhood. It might be someone who helps an elderly neighbour with their shopping, someone who works hard on their garden to keep it looking great, or a neighbour that dedicates a lot of time to local community groups. 

If you would like to nominate someone as a Community Champion, then please, let us know who they are, and what they do to make a difference, by completing this simple form. Alternatively, you can call 01738 476165 to submit your nomination.

Your nominee could be invited along to our Tenant Conference event to be presented with an award.

HOW WE WILL USE YOUR INFORMATION

The information provided by you will be used by Perth and Kinross Council to record details of you as the nominator of a Community Champion, and the details of the person whom you are nominating. We will collect information which may include names, telephone numbers, email addresses, postal addresses, and other personal information about the individual you are nominating. Please do not provide any sensitive personal data, such as details of medical conditions.

The lawful bases for processing this information are Article 6.1.(a) Consent and (f) Legitimate Interests. Please contact DataProtection@pkc.gov.uk if you would like more details about this

Information and photographs about the recipients of any awards will only be shared on our social media channels or in public with the consent of the person receiving the award. We will always check with before publishing it in this way and will not proceed if the person do not wish us to do so.

We will keep information submitted in relation to the Community Champion Awards for six months to allow us to process and organise award presentations. However, you should note that once information, such as photographs, are in the public domain, the Council is unable to control its use.

The Council may also be required to check information provided by you, or information about you provided by a third party, with other information held by us. We may also get information from certain third parties or share your information with them in order to verify its accuracy, prevent or detect crime, protect public funds or where required by law.
