Circular Economy Strategy Consultation

Opens 8 Sep 2025

Closes 24 Oct 2025

Overview

We are using more and more natural resources to make things — often just to use once and throw away. This ‘linear economy’ approach impacts our environment, personal health, overall economy and our wallets.

A 'circular economy' approach offers a better option by looking at how we use and dispose of materials and products. By buying less, sharing with others, using things for longer and creating less waste we can protect the planet and make better use of what we already have.

A Cicrular Economy Strategy will help us change how we make, use, and dispose of things by reducing waste and recycling more. It gives guidance for local communities, individuals and businesses, with the goal of using new technology, ideas, and skills to help us live and work in a more sustainable way.

Before a final Circular Economy Strategy is developed for Perth and Kinross, we want to make sure that local people, communities, businesses and stakeholders have their say on this draft version – to make sure the final strategy truly reflects the issues faced across Perth and Kinross.
