Grow Wild Biodiversity Monitoring Survey
Overview
Thank you for helping us monitor wildlife at Grow Wild sites!
This survey helps us understand how changes to grass-cutting impact biodiversity.
How It Works
Each month during the growing season, please visit a Grow Wild site near you and complete this short survey. You’ll be asked the same set of questions twice - once for the uncut grass area and once for a nearby mown area.
What To Do at the Site
- Walk through the area or sit and observe
- Record what you see — plants, insects, birds, or anything else!
- Feel free to add comments about the overall look of the site
Need to Pause?
You can save your survey and return to it later.
Please complete a separate form each month you take part.
Thanks again for your support — every survey helps us build a better future for local wildlife.
Why your views matter
By monitoring plants and wildlife at our Grow Wild sites, you’re helping us understand how best to care for each space.
Your input directly shapes how we manage these areas — from mowing patterns to future improvements.
Over time, we hope to plant fruit and native trees in many sites. This will help create richer habitats, encourage more insects and birds, and connect green spaces to support nature corridors. To see how far we've come already visit our Enhancing biodiversity webpage.
