Overview

Perth & Kinross Council is seeking the views of parents and carers with babies, under-fives and school-age children regarding care and early education provision in the local area through a short online survey.

If you would like more information on any aspect of childcare or funded early learning and childcare provision in Perth & Kinross then you should contact the Childcare and Family Information Service email childcare@pkc.gov.uk or telephone 0345 601 4477. Details of individual childcare services are available on the national website.

Why your views matter

Local authorities have a statutory duty to consult every two years on the provision of Early Learning and Childcare, to inform the planning and delivery of services.

The survey aims to gain insight around the following areas:

  • The future delivery of Early Learning and Childcare (formerly known as pre-school education);
  • Experience of arranging and using childcare services;
  • Anticipated needs around childcare in the future.

The findings of the survey will be used to inform future options offered to families accessing funded Early Learning and Childcare places and the Childcare Strategy Team's work to support the development of sustainable childcare services across Perth & Kinross.
